Description:
- This material is a polyimide film which was created in an effort to identify potential liquid crystalline polyimides. Polyamic acid was prepared by the reaction of 1,3-Bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenoxy-4-phenyl-2-propyl)benzene dianhydride [Bisphenol M diether dianhydride] BMDEDA and 1,4Phenylenediamine (p-PDA) in DMAc under a nitrogen atmosphere at 23¡C. The thin film was cast from the polyamic acid solution and thermally imidized during a stage cure to 200¡C in flowing air.
