Description:
- This material is made with Amoco T-300/3k fiber/tow. It was constructed using an 8 harness satin weave (8HSW) fabric, with 24 tows per inch in the warp direction and 23 tows per inch in the fill direction. The densification process was Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI), and it made use of CVI-deposited pyrolytic carbon. The fiber heat treatment temperature was 2623 K, and the maximum composite fabrication temperature was 1323K. The material contained no inhibitors, and was not coated. The layup for this material was 0/90 degrees, and it was a 7 ply laminate.

Notes:
- 1. Calculated using measured mass and volume. Although the density of this material changes slightly with temperature, the change was neglected due to minimal error. Volume only changed by 1.5 percent maximum, so density was assumed constant.
- 2. Calculated using k = raCp, where r = density, a = thermal diffusivity, and Cp = specific heat
- 3. Calculated using k = raCp, where r = density, a = thermal diffusivity, and Cp = specific heat
- 4. Calculated using the empirical equation, Cp = -38.0528 + 0.041618T +741.254/T Ð 0.707584…T + 19.0915logT, where T = temperature
